  • January 2014: Sponsor of Colorado College’s Martin Luther King Jr. Day Breakfast and lead an afternoon discussion session on “Saving the World’s Women” with a focus on local action.
  • August 25, 2013: Presented: In Her Own Words-Stories From Our Journey for Women's Equality Day in both Denver & Colorado Springs.
  • July 24, 2013: We participated in a women's issues roundtable with Senator Udall's staff
  • July 20-21, 2013: We had an information booth at Colorado Springs PrideFest
  • July 6, 2013: We had an informational book at Slutwalk 2013 in Denver
  • April-May, 2013: CO SB13-227 and CO HB-1163, supplied people to give testimony
  • April 14 2013: Co-sponsored movie "Invisible War" about epidemic of rape in the military
  • April 2 2013: Arranged a tour of the state capital
  • March 29, 2013: Sponsored special showing of movie "Iron Jawed Angels" about women's suffrage
  • October 6,2012 We are Women Equality Rally
  • August 2012: Held a "Die-In" with chalk outlines along the 16th Street Mall in Denver filled with stats regarding domestic violence

We are Women Colorado believes women's rights are
fundamental human rights.
We are committed to social justice and equality for all.
We are also committed to becoming a sustaining
organization for social welfare and education.
We are a not for profit
501(c)3 organization to enable
our position as a community partner for
women's rights and justice.

Issues facing women include: mis-representation
of women in advertising and film,
rape culture, victim shaming and blaming, pay inequality,
job discrimination, workplace sexual harassment, domestic violence,
eating disorders, rampant sexism, human trafficking, reproduction
rights, teen dating violence, breast and ovarian cancer,
high maternal mortality rates, and more.
